Lucie —Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Although the sound of her name conjures up images of that famed redhead stomping on grapes, the namesake of this vineyard is not renowned and is closer to home.

Like most oenophiles, we have swooned over a magnificent bottle of Burgundy. As the years pass, our list of 'favorite' California Pinot Noir producers keeps growing. We did not have a definite plan to expand our portfolio to include a Pinot Noir, but when opportunity knocked, we answered. In 2009 we were fortunate to obtain Russian River fruit from the Bacigalupi Vineyard.

Legend has it that this noble grape is difficult to grow and presents a challenge to winemakers. With excellent fruit from this historic vineyard and skilled and experienced winemaking, we ventured in. What more can we say? - We Love Lucie
