Vagabond Syrah- For several vintages we have worked with Syrah, the majestic varietal of the famed Hermitage and Côte Rôtie. In the last two decades, cultivation of Syrah in California has increased and equally stunning wines are produced here. Vagabond Syrah is dense and delectable: it possesses the traditional depth, complexity and longevity of this varietal. The flavor is balanced with a richness of dark fruit, and spicy oak nuances. While it is wonderful to enjoy now, there will still be life in this Vagabond for many years.

Vagabond Arrighi Vineyard Petite Sirah
Petite Sirah is best known as a component of a wine- its deep color and tannins enhance other varietals. Our original purpose in acquiring Petite Sirah was to sprinkle a little into Bacio Divino and we limited the role of this varietal for many years.With the 2008 vintage, however, the rich character of the wine from this small vineyard demanded a special bottling. This dark, intense and mysterious varietal that 'purples' teeth and leaves the palate with a shudder of excitement is beyond description. Vagabond Petite Sirah will attain perfection in the cellar.
