The 2016 Bacio Divino features impeccable vineyard sourcing, and an excellent growing season with healthy yields. Long hangtimes allow grapes to reach peak ripeness before picking.  We hold back several barrels from our Janzen single vineyard Cabernet offerings, and blend in a ‘kiss’ of Sangiovese. The result is a unique wine that Cabernet devotees as well as those who appreciate “artful” blends can enjoy. 

A strong core of cassis and blackberries gives way to notes of cigar box on the nose.  This wine exhibits a deep and full-bodied build with an exceptionally long yet elegant finish. This vintage does offers abundant tannins, and we expect a long cellaring of up to 15 years to offer dividends. With that said, the abundant fruit flavors of 2016 will give ample reward to those who prefer their Cabernets on the younger side.

Deep purple-black colored, the 2016 Artful Red Wine reveals wonderful purity and intensity on the nose, giving notes of crushed blackberries and redcurrants with a core of cassis and nuances of black pepper, tree bark, truffles, licorice and cinnamon stick. Full-bodied and boldly fruited in the mouth, the crushed black fruit and anise-inspired layers have a solid backbone of ripe, grainy tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and spicy.

Its deep purple color is followed by a powerful yet elegant aromas and flavors of blackcurrants, spiced plums, licorice, mocha, and Asian spices. With beautiful purity and elegance on the palate, it has full-bodied richness, subtle background oak, nicely integrated acidity, and a great finish. It’s an incredibly classy Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon that will keep for two decades.
