2023 Lucie Lytton Annapolis Vineyard Pinot Noir
$75.00 $900.00Lytton Annapolis Vineyard is located in the northwest of Sonoma County and is part of the West Sonoma Coast AVA. The high elevation of this planting escapes the fog line and allows ripeness to build. The cool coastal winds that the area experiences throughout the year allow the fruit very long hangtimes. These climatic factors foster greater complexity in the resulting wines.
2023 was a cool vintage in this small AVA, allowing slow ripening while maintaining vibrant acidity. Aromatic notes of rose petals, cola and cherry give way to a rich mouthfeel and flavors of rich Bing and dark black cherry, with hints of tea and spice on the palate. We feel 3-5 years of cellaring will bring out the best this wine has to offer.
Cristaldi & CO
Rating: 95
From the Lytton Annapolis Vineyard in the West Sonoma Coast AVA. This Pinot opens with blood orange and clove, cherry and strawberry, and a touch of earth, soy, and black-truffle umami. Medium-bodied with velvety tannins, juicy acidity, and a fine, woodsy, earthy finish. Lingering, long, and full-flavored.
